This page explains what Trip & Event Planner collects, why, and who else sees it. It's a small, free, non-commercial project built by one person — not a company — so keep expectations proportionate: there's no dedicated privacy team, just an honest account of how the app actually works.
What we collect
Joining or creating a trip needs no account — a browser session and the invite link are your identity. What you and your group add (dates, budget, expenses, comments, links you paste) is stored so the app can show it back to everyone in the trip.
If you sign in to keep your trips across devices, your account gets linked to either your email address (for the sign-in link) or your GitHub identity (if you use "Continue with GitHub") — whichever you choose.
Cookies & analytics
The only cookie this app sets is the one that keeps you signed in — there are no advertising or tracking cookies.
We use Vercel's built-in web analytics to see how many people visit and which pages are popular. It doesn't use cookies or track you individually — it counts page views and general location (country-level) without identifying you.
When you paste a link into a poll (a hotel, an activity...), our server fetches that page once to show its title, image and price — that site sees a request from our server, not from your device.
Who else is involved
Trip data and accounts are stored with Supabase (our database and sign-in provider); the app itself is hosted on Vercel; background photos come from Pexels; if you sign in with GitHub, GitHub is involved in that step. None of them get more than what's needed to do their part.
How long we keep it
An anonymous trip lives only in the browser that created it, until you sign in or delete it. Deleting a trip removes it — and everything in it — immediately and permanently, for everyone. There's no way to undo that, and no way for us to recover it either.
Your rights & getting in touch
